That kind of comrade feelings

The week I had for my first reservist training really was a refreshing break. Seeing your good old army kakis once again after 1 year is really rewarding. We can just start any conversation under the sun like what we used to.

Two years ago , we had a video clip of all our moments in 4SIR and the CO arranged a nostalgic session of playing those clips again. Not really entertaining (seen many times) but it still got everyone laughing.

Training in outfields , to me , is another good way to catch up as well. We all have a common goal in this ICT : to finish it tirelessly and yet enjoyed every moment in the camp training. Being in mortar platoon is considered lucky as we have our own vehicles to travel to our training grounds. The ride to and fro the camp takes about 2 hours so we have enough time to feast our eyes on the places we used to go and train along the way.

Since this is the first ICT , the batallion is kind enough to give us a post-celebration or happy hour after our training ends. Get to indulge on cheesecakes and pastries . And of course , beers and champange to go along with

I managed to clear my IPPT in this training. Thanks to my platoon mates who offer the encouragements which really spurred me on.

After bookout , we continued our feastings at Manhatten fish at PS and boogie woogie at Hooters at Clark Quay. We guys don't meet up very often so the outing was really a rewarding finale before we part to get back to our daily lives.

Just thought to myself that in the Army , besides serving your 2.5 years as part of Singapore's rule for all men, I realised this tinge of feel-good feeling call comradeship that exists in the Army. Only when everyone used to suffer together and getting back again , this kind of comradeship develops naturally.

Next year ICT , I'm sure I will go again.

Web-covered blogs

I agree my blogs are covered with webs.

I have been indulging myself into a healthy concoction of after-work activities . You can either find me in workplace or at gym. Wanted to find a place I can relax after work... So got myself hooked with Fitness First.
Near my workplace and I can swim , sauna , steam , exercise and keep fit at the same time. Not to look good actually , its to get my stamina back. (I could not clear my IPPT). Yup. I don't shop so often so I can still afford a gym membership and it really fit into my schedule very well.

Catching up old friends too. Met up with a few secondary friends and army friends. I don't mingle very often because of my 'hectic' schedule . So i try to make myself avaliable recently. I'll have to or else I'll have to wait for another year for treats again. (Birthday treats . :o )

School work was tough also. Last year semester I can still catch up and finish my assignments within a few days. But now , its a few weeks. Guess things are not as simple as it goes.

Quiet 24th bday just passed . I do get a nice Deuter bagpack from my bud. Nice ramen meal treat from my army bud.

Yah... Sorry for all those who try to MSN me. I tend to have problems with missing MSN messages.. Shit. Trying to find out the root of the problem.

Next week . I will be away.
